Tape heads, how do you pick the correct cassette length for albums, and how do you manage leftover time? Do you just leave big gaps around or fill it with extra songs?

Found this beautiful Fisher CR-W9325 tape deck from the #90s today at a thrift store for 10 bucks!
I felt like I was robbing the dude!

Just hooked it up, and giving it a test run with a 1990 UK issue of Wire’s On Returning (1977-1979).

Time to bust out all my cassettes from the attic! I’ve got a bunch of random mix tapes and 4-track masters up there, too.
I haven’t listened to them in probably 30 years.
