Promise to self: for every annotation, be it in books, articles, or on music, I will add a note of my own as to why the annotation is made and, if possible, I'll explain my thoughts about the annotation.

Edit: exception: if no note exists for an annotation, the annotation is simply made for reference, to be found when searching my knowledge base of annotations.
