Amsterdam_XXXAn iconic “2CV” in Amsterdam’s “Swammerdambuurt”. Its full name is “Citroën 2 Chevaux”.🐴🐴 In the Netherlands, it’s nicknamed “Lelijk eendje” (“ugly duck”). 🦆🇫🇷🇳🇱 The area is named after Dutch biologist and microscopist Jan Swammerdam (1637–1680). He is known for his groundbreaking work on insect anatomy and for being one of the first to observe red blood cells. 👀🩸💉 The neighborhood is located in the Weesperzijde area, near the Amstel River. Man nimmt (zumindest ab Baujahr Mitte/Ende der 70er) einfach das Plastik-Winterhäubchen vom Kühlergrill als Schneeschaufel. Geht mindestens bei Nassschnee sogar deutlich einfacher und schneller als mit dem Besen.
