@interfluidity there is the complication of NATO re Greenland and Canada, since NATO would be defending them against incursions by...the USA, a member of NATO. We still are, but maybe 47 plans to get out of NATO and do a land grab.
@carolannie right. it would kill NATO more definitively than a mere withdrawal (which a future government might reverse). there would be no effective Article 5 counter to NATO’s biggest power.
