The results of my first raku firing - Sept. 2023
Clay lured me in by making things happen pretty smoothly - at first!

Three pots that have been raku fired. In the foreground is a coppery metallic iridescent candle holder which is 8-sided at the base; arched cut outs are framed by ribs that flare up and out into a rim that is a cross between a flower bloom and a gear. Behind that pot is a somewhat geometric hourglass shape. The four corners at the top are glazed in a mottled black and white glaze. Behind that is a round pot on three stumpy legs and a zigzag decoration around the mouth, glazed in a bright yellow.
