Azul Buho

(1911-2004) - "Skiing" - 1934

It's the , it's been , would love to strap the old skis on and hit the slopes. (I haven't been for decades. Wouldn't know which muscles to tense.)




Two figures close to us are skiing. We can see their tracks in the snow down the hill behind them, and they are halfway through a sharp to turn to our right. They are wearing old-fashioned skiing garb - Big woollen plus-fours, jumpters and hats. The nearest figure (in grey) has its face turned away from us. We can see the face of the one just behind (in red and brown), but it is blank - no eyes, nose or mouth. I think this is a picture of skiing, rather than skiers, if you see what I mean.
