SciFi/Fantasy Magazine Covers

Creepy no. 53 (1973)

This is rather underpowered as artwork goes, ghoul, swamp, moonlight, whatevs, until we get to that teddy bear. That's the wrong note. What's it holding? And is it alive? Is it looking back at the ghoul?

The teddy bear has a ribbon around its neck. Maybe it's their anniversary!

@SFFMagazineCovers the shading of the teddy makes it look as if it was put in by someone else later on. Maybe the apprentice. Because they thought it needed a kinder note

@SFFMagazineCovers The teddy bear is the real horror, yes. Is like the ghoul is some sort of kid horribly mutaded.
