Things may be about to get interesting at Thames Water.
The Govt. is having talks with restructuring specialists about the process of (temporary) nationalisation of TW (after bankruptcy?) and its reorganisation...
but, one might wonder whether investors will launch an Investor State Dispute Settlement case (using investment treaty arbitration) to argue that the Govt. has rendered their investments worthless by such actions....
The case could go on for years....
Meanwhile #thameswater is the alleged source of a claim - repeated in the #dailytelegraph - that one in twelve people in #london are illegal immigrants. Remarkable that they should have spent money commissioning someone to research that subject while it seems they were unable to manage their core business adequately!
The (usual) politics of distraction... there will be a political consultancy n the background we can be sure
@ChrisMayLA6 our (rates based) bill has almost doubled since 2013. Thames Water put in water meters last year and the estimate consumption based bill is now triple that 2013 number. Funny how they can find the money to invest in infrastructure if it means more revenue!
yes, odd that....
