Emeritus Prof Christopher May

Here John Naughton on why the UK's Online Safety Act while well intentioned may prove problematic (or even fatal) for a range of small networks hosted throughout the world wide web... and how this is partly a problem of how politicians understand the internet & social media.

Of course, the larger firms (who are the real problem) will find ways to swerve round the act's provisions, but for the smaller networks it just may ne all too expensive!
